I was like still on antibiotics. I'm off them now, but I'm like, should I go on another round? Like, I'm not great. Stay on antibiotics. I woke up today with pink eye conjunctivitis from allergies, not the bacterial one. So you're good. But like the allergy kind, you could look at how mad it is. Look at it. It's angry.

Um I I just graduated college at 35 years old. Um, it's fine. Do your thing, everybody. Go back to college if you want to, but it's hard. Um, so I just graduated, and then like my niece was promoted from eighth grade. That Amelia had end of school year stuff with her daughter. Like, so it was just there was chaos going on, and then all the illness.

Of this episode. Okay, so this episode. Elena, as usual, puts herself in danger so she can learn more about Catherine's past. She lies to her perfect edge about it so she can see what her future holds. Meanwhile, Damon tries to find more out about the moonstone, more about the moonstone words, that they conveniently left with Catherine like a bunch of idiots. And that is the description of the episode.

Because listen, Stefan has a good heart, okay? And he is and fa and other things. Um, I'm assuming but he has a good heart, and he, it's not his fault. He wouldn't, he wouldn't have been a ripa if it wasn't for him being turned, and that's Catherine's fault. So like everything is Catherine's fault. It is. So like he never would have been had these issues with like ripping and stuff like that, and like not been a like have those if it wasn't for him being turned. So like give him some grace. He is so protective, so kind, cares about human beings, even though he's a vampire. Like, I don't, it's an angel. And Elena is, oh my god, be there for me, because I'm Elena and I'm everything is my fault. It's giving Voldemort.

No, she I do agree. I do there's an element to Elena where I can see the compassion and I can see the empathy. Yes. And I know she does love and care about the people around her, and she's been through a lot of loss at this point.

But I do see a selfish nature where she is kind of a lot like she does care about people. Like she cares about Jeremy, and it's not just about her in that sense. So I don't think she's fully selfish, but I think she's very like self-focused on everything going around her world. It is very daemon-coded. It's very like what's around me and what I care about.

Similarly, there's elements where she's not as daemon daemon-y, yeah. Um, because I do think she cares about the random people outside of her circle. She does, but there is an element where she is just very like, me, me, me, what's happening to me? You coming to my life, me, and it's affecting people around me, and it's me. It's the I get it.

In this episode, we'll get there, but she has a scene where she's like, It's all my fault because I was born. I'm gonna punch you in the throat. She didn't say it's all my fault because I was born, but that's what she's alluding to. Like, everything's my fault. Bitch, and even if you didn't meet Stefan, these people were becoming after you. They found out you exist.

For me in this episode, I have a lot of empathy for Catherine. I feel a lot for her, but I also there's a lot of annoyance for her. Oh my god, and I do think whilst I love Catherine and her character, and I think she's really fun and she's fucking badass, and she is very quite bright in survival, but she basically is the architect of all the things that are happening. 100%. So I'm like, Catherine, it's really Catherine. Like, why aren't we playing Catherine? I'm just saying.

And I'm like, this right now is on like Catherine. That's who we should blame. Yep, you know, I mean, because really when we get into it, it is Katharina that did all this shit. All of this, because if she had let Klaus kill her, no, I know we could get down, I know we could get down to the brass tacks here and say it's Klaus, but No, it's not.

Very far down the line here. We have like a lot of episodes where we're kind of alluding to this mystery vampire. And yeah, there was part of me that I always just thought, oh, they're doing that. So there's like a big like reveal reveal. But actually, it's because they could not find a Klaus. Oh they could not find an actor to do what he did they felt was Klaus. So he wasn't cast yet.

I really liked the how Catherine became Catherine. Yeah. It's like how Katrina became Catherine. Katharina. Katharina became Catherine. I like that. And I do like that there's like a little element to me where there's a slight debate to it of like was she manipulating that situation, or did she really just genuinely try to take herself out? Like true. I I kind of like that debate element. And I like that there's so much like foreshadowing hindsight to it where it's like, wow, if she didn't do that and she did it in this other way, so many things could have changed for her future and like what could have been. And I kind of like all those elements about that part of it. So that was probably my favorite.
